Bahnhöfe Vorderasiens
Die Länder Asiens zu unterteilen , ist keine einfache Angelegenheit. Traditionell kann man Vorderasien als Orient bezeichnen, von Europa aus gesehen.
Vorrangig handelt es sich hier um islamische Länder. Der Eisenbahnverkehr war und ist immer noch wichtig, aber die Bahnlinien sind nicht sehr zahlreich. Zudem sind die Länder oftmals verfeindet, sodass der Grenzverkehr schwierig werden kann.

Gjumri station
ist die zweitgrößte Stadt Armeniens und Hauptstadt der Provinz Schirak.Gjumri liegt im Westen des Landes nahe der Grenze zur auf etwa 1592m. Die Stadt hat etwa 130.000 Einwohner. Sie sprechen einen lokalen Dialekt. Im Kaiserreich Russland hieß die Stadt von 1840 bis 1924 Alexandropol.
Die Stadt besitzt einen großen Bahnhof an der Bahnstrecke Tiflis–Jerewan.

Google findet zu diesem Ort nicht viel. Das Dorf liegt mitten in Armenien am Sewan See, iIm Hintergrund sind oft die schneebedeckten Berge des Kaukasus zu sehen. Also weit abseits der Touristenwege. Doch laut Google gibt es hier ein 2. Weltkriegsdenkmal. |

Dubai
Der nagelneue Bahnhof am unteren Rand ist Einstieg für die Metro der VAE (Vereinigte Arabische Emirate). Der Baubeginn erfolgte im Oktober 2005 durch ein Konsortium japanischer Unternehmen und eine Teileröffnung mit zunächst zehn Haltestellen. Am 9. September 2011 folgte die spangenartige kürzere „Grüne Linie“ mit zunächst 16 Stationen. Die Planung sah vor, dass der Endausbau um 2020 mit 170–200 km Strecke und etwa 120 Haltestellen abgeschlossen werden sollte. Der Bau wurde 2010 gestoppt wegen geschäftlichen Querelen.
Daneben existiert eine Güterverkehrslinie, welche seit 2016 im Betrieb ist und vorrangig Schwefelgranulat transportiert.
The brand new station at the bottom is the entry point for the UAE metro (United Arab Emirates). Teheran central station
Die Hauptstadt des moslemischen Staates Iran begrüßt die Reisenden mit den Bildnissen ihrer geistigen Führer.
Woanders gibt es Burger King Bilder am Bahnhof. Hier über den Teheraner Bahnof laufen mehrere Fernbahnlinien. Gebaut wurde er Anfang der 30er Jahre des letzten Jahrhundert im damals beliebten neoklassizistischen Stil.

Elsewhere there are Burger King pictures at the train station. Several long-distance railway lines run here via the Tehran train station. It was built in the early 30s of the last century in the then popular neoclassical style.

Tel Aviv Hagana station
Tel Aviv ist die zweitgrößte Stadt des Landes und wirtschaftliches und technologisches Zentrum. Die Stadt wurde 1909 als moderne Stadt gegründet. Die frühe Architektur von Tel Aviv bestand größtenteils aus Einfamilienhäusern im europäischen Stil. Die Bauhausarchitektur wurde in den 1920er und 1930er Jahren von deutsch-jüdischen Architekten hier eingeführt (Weiße Stadt). Mitte der 1990er Jahre begann der Bau von Wolkenkratzern in der gesamten Stadt und veränderte seine Skyline.
Hagana Bahnhof ist der südlichste Bahnhof Tel Avivs, etwa 400 Meter östlich des zentralen Busbahnhofs von Tel Aviv.

Bischkek station
ist die Hauptstadt und gleichzeitig der politische, wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Mittelpunkt Kirgisistans. Die Stadt ist aus einer Karawanenstation an der Seidenstraße hervorgegangen und erlebte im Laufe ihrer Zeit mehrere Umbenennungen.
Der Bahnhof von Bischkek, vor dem ein imposantes Reiterstandbild von Frunse steht, wurde 1946 von deutschen Kriegsgefangenen erbaut und hat die Zeit bis heute praktisch unverändert überstanden. Ein Großteil der Gefangenen starb während der Bauarbeiten durch Hunger, Kälte, Überarbeitung und Krankheit und wurde in der Nähe der Baustelle verscharrt.
Kirgisistan gehört im Grunde zu Zentralasien, dies zur Abgrenzung.

The Bishkek train station, in front of which there is an imposing equestrian statue of Frunze, was built by German prisoners of war in 1946 and has survived practically unchanged to this day. The majority of the prisoners died of starvation, cold, overwork and illness during the construction work and were buried near the construction site.
